Life is a journey. I believe that we are all on a journey to become the woman (or man) that God created us to be. A journey will have many different twists and turns with various stops along the way. A journey to a career, to a family, to a financial goal... Go ahead and insert yours here. But, ultimately we all have the same final destination. Don't you want to hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into what I have prepared for you?" I certainly do, and I hope you do too. I want to be my best, what God created me to become, when I stand before the Lord. I believe we ALL can do this. We just have to choose it.
Your "ideal self," may look different but I am confident that everyone has one. Personally, I have always aspired to be like the Proverbs 31 woman. At my best, I am working to be like her more and more every day. For a time in my life, I wasn't working on becoming the best me I can be. The fact of the matter is that I let fear dictate many of the choices that I had made in life (classic Enneagram 6, am I right?). I was so distracted by all the stops, I was missing the vision of the destination. FINALLY, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I made the conscious choice to push on to the goal, to become as Christ-filled as I can be, and chase down my best self.
My mission is to live authentically, intentionally, and to be impactful in everything I do. So if you're afraid like I was but, you're tired, and frustrated of being the same person you were yesterday, this is a good place to start. My hope and my prayer is that you are inspired as I share my journey with you, that you learn from my experiences, and that you too will begin your journey to become all that you were made to be.
